These premium high performance fiber breakout cables utilize SteelPatch armor, a special jacketing which increases cable strength by up to 7x. SteelPatch armor is molded into a helical steel tube which retains full cable flexibility and remains incredibly lightweight. SteelPatch Armored MTP Breakout Cables are therefore best deployed in environments with harsh conditions such as active construction sites or military naval vessels. These MTP Breakout assemblies come in 8,12,24 and 48 Fiber strand configurations (24F for MTP Elite).

The MTP Elite connector, developed by US Conec, features a series of redesigned internal components, and is able to reduce insertion loss to an absolute minimum resulting in a more reliable and power efficient network. MTP Elite connectors allow more connection points within a link, enabling a more robust network capable of accommodating most requirements. SteelPatch Armored MTP Elite Breakout Cables are best used in networks with high amounts of connections or networks operating at 100G or higher rates.
